How to Install Plex on Apple TV | Access All your Media in Apple TV

Plex is a client-server media player system and a software suite comprising two main components. It is a multiplatform application that can be used in Android, Windows, iOS, and Linux. The Plex server desktop application organizes users’ local videos, audios, and photos. Apart from its desktop application, It also allows users to stream online content as well. Plex also has a premium subscription named “Plex Pass” which makes you a privileged user as well. Plex app is officially available on all platforms. Here are going to see how to install Plex on Apple TV. By using Plex on Apple TV, you can both manage the internal storage and use Plex to stream online content as well.

How to Install Plex on Apple TV
Here is the step by step procedure to install Plex on Apple TV:
Step 1: To get the app, first you have to turn on the Apple TV and just go to the Settings -> General ->Network.

Step 2: The Network page opens where you can see the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Router, DNS and Ethernet Address as well.
Step 3: Make a note of the DNS server address and click configure DNS.

Step 4: On your configure DNS page, you have to select the “Manually” button.

Step 5: Then in the configure DNS screen you have to change the IP address according to the local IP of the device which is running the PlexConnect application. After entering the IP Address, click on done.

Step 6: It will take you to the previous network configuration screen. Here you have to check whether the configure DNS is set as “Manual” and check whether the DNS server address is the same as the local IP address in which you are using the PlexConnect App.
Step 7: To get the PlexConnect app, you have to download Python 2.7.x and install it on your device.

Step 8: If you are running a firewall, then you have to make sure that you have created some rulers to accept python.exe.
Step 9: The developers of the application update the app frequently and you have to install the latest version every time.

Step 10: You have to place the downloaded zip file in the directory of the machine where you are choosing to run the PlexConnet app and unzip the file.
Step 11: Now you have to make a double-click on the PlexConnect.py file to run the app on your device.
Step 12: Here you can see the output in the command window as Plex gets started to use. Just launch the trial version of the application on your Apple TV and see the Plex app interface on the Apple TV.
