Chromecast for opera – How to Setup Chromecast on Opera Browser?

Opera is a web browser for Windows, macOS, and Linux Operating systems, which was developed by Norwegian company Opera Software AS. It uses the Blink layout engine. The earlier version uses the Presto layout engine that is still available and runs on the FreeBSD systems. Initially, a commercial web browser, Opera became freeware in 2005. Before 2013, It used the Presto layout engine. You can cast Opera Browser using Chromecast for Opera.

The Presto versions of Opera received the 13 different awards. In 2013, It changed the layout engine to Blink, of its competitor Google Chrome. Opera browser provides you with faster page loading, It also has private browsing options just like any other browsers. It also supports a lot of tabs that are easier to switch. Opera provides you with a built-in download manager, mouse gestures and browser extensions. The support for Chromecast extension has been added later to the Opera browser.

How to Setup Chromecast on Opera Browser?
Step 1: Get the Download Chrome extension from the Opera addons catalog. This enables you to use the Chrome Extensions with the Opera browser.

Step 2: Now go to the Chrome Web Store and get the Google Cast extension. This is the official Google extension for sending content to the Google Chromecast.

Step 3: Make sure the Chromecast and your computer are connected to the same WiFi network.

Step 4: Once the device gets detected you can start casting from the Google cast enabled sites. But you cannot cast a tab from Opera.
